Issue #1590 diagnostic contract source bundle

Status: UNEXECUTED, pending independent whole-bundle review and fresh complete external exact-source custody / ROOT admission. This is Development source preparation, not qualification, issue closure, or release readiness.

Authority and disposition

The current shared projector, identity caller, and protected queue/progress/general projection tests require fourteen common fields. The partial-copy assertion retained an eight-key expectation while rejecting its invalid special pair. Restoring eight common keys would discard the existing stdio/result-stage observation contract and regress those protected tests. AC-4BH.3 now makes the existing fourteen common keys explicit, with exactly sixteen only for a full valid partial-copy pair and eighteen only for a full valid ancestry quartet. Reasons make those groups mutually exclusive. This is consistency clarification, not adoption of arbitrary new public fields.

The native partial-copy receipt remains a separate exact two-key grammar. Invalid, duplicate, escaped, expanded, or noncanonical receipts retain their typed native failure category but add no special projection fields. False/null observation defaults do not prove absence, exit, identity, or successful process control. Unknown reasons add neither special group. Raw process/native material is never retained in the projection.

The source change closes the internal projection result type to its existing allowed key union; the runtime projection, native parser, callers and native assets remain unchanged. Lifecycle action failure metadata, startup rehydration and the lifecycle diagnostic script continue consuming the same shared projector. No deadline, retry, ancestry/identity, ownership, termination or helper change is included.

Protected evidence change and paired coverage

The original partial-copy test still checks invalid confirmed_exit / x64 values omit the special pair; its independent expected object now retains the six common progress fields already required elsewhere. The new literal oracle is independent of production constants and compares full objects. Added pairs cover all three phases, both partial-copy subjects, every native held-handle/architecture value combination, missing/invalid groups, conflicting category inputs, exact 14/16/18 keys, count/duration edges, nonliteral booleans, inaccessible/invalid metadata, duplicate/escaped/expanded native receipts, and private data through both error and API-trace projection. A successful owned-root inspection asserts absence of failure diagnostic metadata. Existing protected queue, deadline, stalled-result, malformed/retry, newline and ancestry cases are retained.

Independent review must judge the requirement/expectation justification separately from the implementation claim. New authored tests are supplementary; they do not replace the existing protected gates or required native/platform evidence.

Preserved direct failures

  • Original exact source d9919df34a266ae9c1a03017228f79e7bfddf204: Lifecycle run 36983607610 / job 110763514073, test line 227 / assertion 245. Direct job logs show six extra false/null progress fields against the stale eight-key expected object. Retained UTF-8 provider-log capture SHA-256: 6ACED2511425DC002DBCEAE03184F8F3EBD0C1817A3DA238C02DC0A520BBB5F5.
  • Separate natural exact source 28bf708aed284474dc3e705cdef8c80861dda985: run 36987323512 / job 110775201090, same failing assertion and six fields. ROOT independently observed terminal failure; it is a second exact attempt, not a successful baseline or proof of historical cause. Its direct provider log is retained outside the source checkout.

No successful baseline is invented. Neither failure is waived or overwritten by this source repair. No rerun, cancellation or provider-control mutation was performed.

Verification and custody boundaries

Only manual source/caller/diff review, Git identity/accounting, and static whitespace inspection were permitted. No Node syntax/import, tests, dependency install, build, native helper or compiler was executed. Static review cannot establish test passage, compilation or native acceptance. After a fresh external exact-source custody receipt is actually read and admitted by ROOT, run focused diagnostics and relevant regression/native gates for the frozen complete source, retain terminal exact-head CI, and record direct versus surrogate evidence separately.

Base: current fetched develop 3a8d0c9c1510c7e5832dae1eca7bd38eacf02444. Branch: fix/1590-closed-partial-copy-diagnostics. The isolated issue checkout is intentionally retained for #1590 whole review/admission. Primary dirty state and the separate frozen #1586 worker were preserved; no unknown retained files were cleaned. Head/tree identities belong in the final PR and parent handover to avoid self-referential document hashes.
